Quick guide for installing mods. If you want detailed help, check out the Stardew Valley Wiki.
New:
- Download the mod file, then unzip it.
- Drag the folder into your Mods folder.
Updating:
- Download the mod file, then unzip it.
- Delete the old mod file in your Mods folder.
- Drag the new version into your Mods folder.
Tips:
Do not use the Nexus mod manager to update your Stardew Valley mods. This leads to missing files and incomplete content.
Stardrop is an excellent mod manager, there are settings to save your config file and to manually update. It also works on both Windows and Mac. Note: If a mod update changes the configuration, be sure to delete your old config file or you will see errors in SMAPI.
